Importing Content

Vidori makes it easy to import content from multiple sources. Whether you’re uploading from your computer or migrating from another platform, we’ve got you covered.

Import Methods

Direct Upload

Upload video files directly from your computer.

1. Go to Catalog → On-Demand
2. Click the Import button
3. Select Upload Files
4. Drag and drop files or click to browse
5. Add metadata while uploading (optional)

Supported formats: MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI

Maximum file size: 10 GB per file (larger files available on Business plans)

YouTube Import

Import videos directly from your YouTube channel.

1. Go to Catalog → On-Demand → Import
2. Select YouTube
3. Connect your YouTube account
4. Select videos or entire playlists to import
5. Click Import Selected

Caution

You must own the content you’re importing. Vidori will verify channel ownership.

Vimeo Import

Migrate your Vimeo library to Vidori.

1. Go to Catalog → On-Demand → Import
2. Select Vimeo
3. Authenticate with your Vimeo account
4. Choose videos to import
5. Metadata and thumbnails transfer automatically

S3 Import

Import from Amazon S3 or compatible storage.

1. Go to Catalog → On-Demand → Import
2. Select Amazon S3
3. Enter your bucket name and credentials
4. Browse and select files
5. Configure import settings

Required permissions: s3:GetObject, s3:ListBucket

Bulk Import

For large content libraries, use bulk import:

1. Prepare a CSV file with video metadata
2. Go to Catalog → Import → Bulk Import
3. Upload your CSV file
4. Map CSV columns to Vidori fields
5. Start the import process

CSV Format

title,description,tags,category,source_url
"My Video Title","Video description here","tag1,tag2","Category Name","https://..."

Transcoding

All imported videos are automatically transcoded to:

• HLS - For Apple devices and Safari
• DASH - For Android and other browsers
• Multiple quality levels - From 360p to 4K (based on source)

Transcoding typically takes 1-2x the video duration.
